Here's a scan of BB's face. Hmm... from the photo, looks like BB inherited Daddy's high forehead too, even the arch of the brow bone looks the same but we can only confirm when she's born. ;)

IT"S A GIRL!!!

Finally had my detailed scan at KKH today. Confirmed that we are having a baby girl. Got a princess to dress up and dote on. :) Detailed scan took about 45mins. Everything is normal and gynae said baby's measurements (head circumference, abdomen circumference and thigh bone) are all at the 50th percentile so she's a medium size baby. I'm only 46kg now, gained only 2 kg so far. Looks like all the weight gain went to baby which is good. Can see BB's legs and left hand from the baby's side view scan. Do you think the shape of her lips looks like Daddy's? :)

Maternity clothes

Went to my cousin's house today to visit her new baby boy, who was born on 4 Sept. The baby was sleeping and nursing most of the time. Very guai. Borrowed 2 big paper bags of maternity clothes from her. Don't need to spend money to buy any more maternity clothes liao. :) She recommended her CL to me too, $2400. Can save $200 from the previous quote I got. :)

Back from Malacca

Just came back from my 3D2N Malacca trip at 8+pm tonight. Equatorial hotel was good, glad I decided to upgrade to 5tar instead of staying at Makkota Parade. Service was good and the location was convenient.

Ate lots of good food (peranakan food, otak, hee peow soup, mee suah soup, durian chendol, nonya laksa, chicken rice ball etc). Weighed myself just now and I've hit 50kg!?! When I saw the gynae on 21 Aug, I was only 45.2kg. Don't know if my home weighing machine is spoilt or not. ;P

Even managed to buy baby stuff in Malaysia but not much lar. 3 sets of Pigeon mittens & booties only Rm9.90. Less than SGD4.50. When I bought just 1 set at Metro, it was SGD2.10. 3 bibs for only RM4.95 (1 side waterproof). Saw the elancyl stretchmark cream at Guardian pharmacy, only RM59, about SGD26. I bought mine at $37 after 20% discount. Wanted to buy more but I already have 2 tubes. :P

Kind bus driver

Just managed to get on bus 291 this morning cos the bus driver waited for me. I was standing near the door (couldn't see any seats on the bus). When the bus stopped at the next bus stop, the bus driver got up from his seat and said loudly in Mandarin "Xiao Jie, ni yao bu yao zuo xia lai. Zhe li hai you yi ge wei. Ni zan zai na bian, geng wei xian". There was a seat near the front of the bus but I missed it. And he was trying to get me to sit down. :)

Was quite embarrassed when everyone turned to look at who he was talking to. At first, I also turn around to look, not sure if he was talking to me. But I was the most obvious one. So, I mumbled ok and walked to the seat. When I got close, I noticed there was an auntie (50s - 60) also standing in front with no seat. Quite paiseh, but luckily saw another inner seat opposite. I gestured to her if she wants to sit down but she waved no. So I quickly sat down but don't know where to look, felt so shy.

Today, I was wearing a very big billowing "tent like" dress, maybe look more pregnant Yesterday, when I wore a plain white shirt, no one in the bus even offered me a seat. ;P

Stocking up BB's wardrobe

Went to Taka baby fair tonight. A lot of MTBs at the motherhood forum bought the steriliser there because there were a lot of freebies. Bought the Pigeon steriliser at $139.90, came with 2 free bottles, 1 free bottle warmer and 1 new born starter set (bottles, brushes, milk powder holder). Bought another 3 medium Avent bottles at $16.90, 3 small Avent bottles at $17.84, 1 BB receiving blanket at $10 and 2 rompers at $6. Good thing I went today, very quiet cos weekday night. BB's wardrobe is filling up liao. :)

Preparing the BB room

Woke up at 6:30am today because of backache. Sigh, thought I can sleep in since it's Sat. Had a nap at 9am and was woken by phone call by ikea delivery man. Bought a wardrobe on Wed so that I have a place to store BB's things, too many bags are accumulating on the spare room floor including things that colleagues passed me. Hee hee, another reason is because I need a wardrobe to hang my long dresses. Hee hee. Hubby said I'm trying to steal BB's wardrobe even before he/she's born. Happy, can go shopping for more BB stuff soon.

Guess BB's gender

Went to see gynae again cos curious of BB's gender. Gave baby a pep talk to open his or her legs during the checkup and BB very guai and cooperated. However, Gynae said blocked by umblical cord so not very clear. But tentatively, it may be a girl. But can't confirm until 12 Sept which is the detailed scan. Well, we'll see. :)

Shopping

Went shopping at Parkway Parade today. Bought a new Nikon camera, Nikon S50 at Harvey Norman. My old nikon one is spoilt after just 2 years so can't take any photos. Bought extended warranty for 5 years, kiasu liao. Charles and Keith having a storewide sale. Bought 3 pairs of flat shoes, hopefully it will last for my whole pregnancy. Takashimaya having baby fair but I didn't go. Don't want to start buying baby stuff too early cos I got no space to store them. Also, they will only collect dust if I buy early. But BB is not left out lar. We already bought some clothes for BB during the John Little Moving Sale and also a very cute rocking horse for BB's first soft toy from SuperStar Virgo cruise from 8-10 Aug 2007.

Signed up for antenatal class today

Signed up for antenatal class at KK. The class starts next Tues and costs $120 for 9 sessions. Recommended commencement date for antental is 16 weeks and I'll be 16 weeks this Friday. Class starts at 6:30pm though so I need to rush cos work ends at 5:45pm.
